As a consequence you will need to migrate to a more recent version, 2007, 2010 or 2013.  The change from 2003 to 2007 is the biggest leap with the introduction of a ribbon based navigation and can take users a long time to familiarise themselves with the software.  A lot of users find it initially much harder to use.
